Brandi Favre appeared in Mississippi's Hancock County courtroom today (January 13) after being arrested yesterday during a drug raid in Diamondhead, Miss. Brett Favre's younger sister, 34, was among the six people who were caught in the midst of a methamphetamine bust.

Brandi is being charged for two counts: the first for the manufacture of meth and the second for generating hazardous waste. The other five are facing similar and some face additional charges.

Brandi Favre appeared in court this morning for less than 10 minutes to face Judge Tom Carver who set the bond at $40,000. Defense attorneys Richard Dymond and Chad Favre are reported to have stated Brandi will post bond later today.

Favre, younger sister of football star Brett Favre, has been in trouble with the law before (shoplifting, gun-related charge), so perhaps the news of Brandi's latest stint comes as no big surprise, especially to the Favre family and those close to them.

The timing of Brandi's arrest, however, only drags Brett Favre's name and his recent sexual harassment issues back into the headlines as well.

Just ten days ago on January 3, two former massage therapists for the New York Jets filed a lawsuit against the football great as well. Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole filed a suit in New York against Favre, the New York Jets and Lisa Ripi who hires therapists for the Jets.

Scavo and O'Toole claimed that when they and Favre were all in the employ of the Jets in 2008 that Favre treated them inappropriately. Specially, Scavo said that Favre wrote a text message to O'Toole stating, "Brett here, you and Crissy want to get together, I'm all alone."

Scavo's interpretation of that was Favre wanted to have a three-way with the two therapists. She also stated that Favre treated her "like a hanging slab of meat". Christina Scavo's husband, Joseph, even called Favre demanding an apology.

After the incident, both therapists were never offered to work with the New York Jets, and their attorney Elizabeth Eilender said her clients felt they had no other choice than to file the suit since the Jets would not rehire them.

In addition to that suit, Brett Favre was just recently fined a whopping $50,000 by the NFL on claims that he didn't cooperate in their investigation into his sending inappropriate text messages to Jenn Sterger who worked as a Jets host in 2008.

On January 2, Favre just announced that he is retiring from the NFL and in doing so, leaves a much storied career on a bad note.
