With a declining number of healthy wide receivers, the Denver Broncos can't afford to have Brandon Marshall sit out this game. It's Week 17, the last week of the regular season and it's also a must win for the Denver Broncos against the Kansas City Chief's.

Brandon Marshall Won't Play: Just a Minor Injury?

During practice earlier this week it definitely seemed as if Marshall may not play after coming up hobbling after he ran a route. Later, he was diagnosed with an ailment of a strained hamstring. Marshall was then placed on an injury report that he would be limited in practice. NFL.com later disclosed that Marshall was expected to play on Sunday.

Brandon Marshall Won't Play: Was he benched?

Apparently things have changed and quickly. It is being reported that Coach Josh McDaniel's wanted Marshall to play threw what he called a slight injury but Brandon Marshall refused. Due to this Marshall has now been benched and deactivated for Sunday's game. Brandon Marshall's injury is more than just a loss but it's a critical blow.

Brandon Marshall Won't Play: What this means?

With Marshall being one of the Denver Broncos primary weapons for the wide receiver position, this can also mean complications with Marshall future contract negotiations. Marshall currently has 101 catches this season placing him 61 catches ahead of all other wide receivers on the team. This blow may be fatal for the Denver Broncos playoff hopes.

Brandon Marshall Wont Play: What does the Denver Broncos do?

Don't count the Denver Broncos out just yet. The Broncos still have a few wide receivers that they can count on. Eddie Royal who is still suffering from a neck injury most likely will be limited in the game. But the Broncos still have Brandon Stokley, Jabar Gaffney and Brandon Lloyd.

This is terrible news for all fantasy owners. Brandon Marshall would have received a bunch of looks and catches if he was to play. The friction between Brandon Marshall and Coach Josh McDaniel's is just a re-play of what occurred earlier this year. You can only hope that they can both come together and figure a way to repair there unstable relationship.
