Braum's in the Colony, Texas

I first encountered Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store in Carrollton, Texas. When we moved to The Colony, I was glad to discover that there was a Braum's on Main Street. (Specifically 5009 Main Street in The Colony)

What exactly does Braum's Ice Cream offer? Naturally, ice cream and ice cream treats like sundaes, banana splits, and milkshakes. They also offer sandwiches like hamburgers and cheeseburgers, but they also have items like chicken strips, salads and more.

You can even get breakfast at Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store. Anything from a bagel sandwich to biscuits and gravy and even a country steak breakfast.

Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store also has a grocer section. You can buy any of the fine ice creams Braum's makes, as well as their milk, and any of the dairy items you can think of. While it may not be as well stocked as your average supermarket, you can get almost anything you can think of as far as grocery items. Bread, meat, dairy products.
The prices in the grocery section are a bit higher than most supermarkets, but one thing to consider is that Braum's products do not use any chemicals, or preservatives.
One example would be the Braum's no fat milk. When I have purchase non fat or skim milk at the standard supermarket, it tastes like it has been watered down. The Braum's non fat milk actually tastes like regular milk.

My wife and I generally go to Braum's to treat ourselves or just to have fun. We go to get a sundae, or a shake. Braum's have some really great signature shakes. They have some that have candy in them like Reese's Pieces™ or M&M's™. I can tell you, these are very tasty.

What I really enjoy is watching the employees make your sundae. It is educational to watch someone make a banana split. It's obvious that these folks are well trained in what they are doing.

Years ago I worked at a in an ice cream place and had to learn how to make these different ice cream dishes. It can be complicated.

Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store frequently introduce new flavors. Some of the flavors are interesting. Birthday Cake for example sounds pretty good. Not all the new flavors are great though. In 2008, Braum's came out with Bread Pudding flavor ice cream. I like bread pudding, but I am not sure I want to eat it as ice cream.
