Brazil - the Land of Enchantment

Brazil is the largest country in Latin America and is the land of enchantment. It's filled with wonderful and unusual things to do. It's the home of a port city called Manaus, which is the starting point of many great adventures for people who have come to discover the great Amazon. It's located right in the heart of the Amazon basin. Manus also offers you the chance to see some of the largest sea-going ships that come into port.

There are lots of tour operators for viewing outstanding bird watching areas, boat rides and tours of tribal villages. A trip to Brazil would be incomplete without a trip into the Amazon.

Brazil has expectations of attracting at least nine million new visitors to its country. For all the visitors there's plenty of fun and sun to go hiking, rock climbing, kayaking or surfing.

Brazil is the home of the world's biggest party, the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. The city explodes in a celebration of music and street festivals, with plenty of fun for all. Carnival has all kinds of parades and parties to attend. It takes place in the beginning of February. Rio de Janeiro is highly regarded as being the educational and cultural center of Brazil, with all the fine universities, art galleries and wonderful museums.

You must stop by Sao Luis, it's considered to be one of Brazil's most beautiful cities. It's represents a culmination of all the different cultures of Brazil including indigenous, African and Portuguese.

A visit to the Pantanal is a must. It's considered to be one of the worlds greatest wildlife preserves. It is known to attract fisherman from around the world. Spectacular bird watching can be found there.

Brazil's beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. They have beautiful white sands, lots of sunshine and parties. You'll want to include some time on the beaches for your trip.

Brazil just might be the new for runner for alternative fuel sources, such as ethanol. They can now make ethanol for about $1.00 per gallon and as a result the country as a whole is spending far less on oil imports. Keep up the good work Brazil!
