Pre Brazilian waxing prep:
• Particularly for women. Because your skin is often more sensitive at the time near your period, waxing can be quite painful than you normally experience. So never set an appointment for waxing, a couple of days before or after your period. For this reason, most places will not do a Brazilian waxing while you have your period.
• To be totally clean is important. Using warm water, freshen up and lightly peel ff any skin or dead skin in your entire bikini area before you go in the clinic. Just make sure that you are clean all over.
• For now, do not use any lotion or any lubricant in your bikini area.
• Hair just long enough. For the wax to hold onto you need some hair growth; but it should not be too long lest the waxing treatment becomes more painful than it needs to. During your appointment, allow the technician to trim the hair down to just the right length, or follow the salon's particular directions for trimming.
• Avoiding Pain. If you're worrying that the treatment will be painful, take an aspirin or Tylenol 30-45 minutes before your appointment.
Post Brazilian Waxing Care:
• Beware of your fashion choices. For the next few days, it is recommended that you do not wear tight panties.
• Hands off. Do not touch the skin that is just waxed because this might cause skin irritation.
• Opt for a shower. Never take a hot bath for the rest of the day.
• Definitely avoid any sauna or steam bath. Tanning is a big no too.
• Temporary abstinences. You should not engage yourself in any sexual activity in the next day or two.
• Exfoliate. Use a mild exfoliator after two full days. You can use Ayate washcloth which can gently exfoliate skin.
• Fight the bumps. If you have any ingrown hairs try using Tend Skin, which is a common choice for removing annoying ingrown.
