I lost myself in a puddle
Mesmerized by every ring
Staring at the concentric circles
Colliding.
Mesmerized by every ring
Staring at the concentric circles
Colliding.
I stare at my reflection
watching it wriggle and shake
I drop in a pebble
and watch the image break.
That pebble was you.
Slowly though, the water stills
I see myself again
Calm.
The ripples fade out of view
The pebble is under water
No more thoughts of you.
