Ingredients
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. vinegar
Method
Mix together the flour, salt, shortening and brown sugar. Work the ingredients into fine crumbs. Remove 1/4 cup of crumbs for top of cake. Add the milk, baking soda and vinegar to the crumb mixture, stirring until well blended. Pour into an 8-inch pyrex pie plate and sprinkle reserved crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degress for 30 minutes. (Makes 1 breakfast cake)
