Breaking Me

Breaking Me

Where am I in all of this?
You can't leave me
With just one kiss

A kiss from heaven
So divine
Nothing compares
Now I must pine

Away, away
I'm afraid I won't find
That pot at the end of the rainbow
It's a race against time

Will I ever be happy
Will peace be mine
Will my heart's fire be quenched
Or am I designed

To be a skeleton burning
Burning with fire
"Desire leads to suffering"
But I didn't hire

The Dali Lama to guide me
Though where he is is higher
I want to rise above
But day to day gets harder.

Art she is a raging beast
My thoughts rarely to be contained
Snaps and twists and perversity
With heaven inside, with hope to gain

I can't control it
It's not in me
I want so badly
Something I cannot see

I can't stop
The voice in me
From picking me apart
Breaking me.
