Breaking News: Democraitc Hopeful Bill Richardson Drops Out of Presidential Race

Hard Worker
Thursday January 10- New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson announced today that he will be dropped out of the Presidential race according to CNN reports. Richardson cited his lack of money and his disappointing voter turnout in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. He had received approximately 5% of the vote in New Hampshire and 2% of the vote in Iowa. Throughout the entire presidential campaign, it has been a three way race on the Democratic side and despite Richardson's involvement in the New Hampshire debate; he was unable to garner enough support from voters. In his press conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico Richardson stated, "It is with great pride, understanding and acceptance that I am ending my campaign for president of the United States."

During his presidential run, he raised $19 million and had spent $16 million of that amount. Despite his excellent foreign policy experience he was never able to attract voters to his candidacy. Now former Senator John Edwards must decide whether he too will still be in the race as it has become increasingly apparent that it has become a two person race between Obama and Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.

Richardson had severed as the Secretary of Energy and had been the U.N. ambassador.

He has not endorsed any Democratic candidate and according to political analysts, he remains hopeful that he will be selected by the wining Democratic candidate as the Vice Presidential nominee.

Well, I find it difficult to believe that anyone would be able to over come Hillary or Obama on the Democrat side.
