Breaking News - Katie Holmes Wears Clothes! and My New Motto

My New AC Motto; Katie Holmes Wears Clothes!

LIVIN
Some others that work for my new boss (remember, YAHOO bought AC) seem to think Katie Holmes is not dressed appropriately. A picture of Katie Holmes in baggy jeans and a plaid, long sleeve shirt awarded her the prize of being at the forefront of a glut of pictures entitled "What Were They Thinking" on the Yahoo OMG site. Apparently, Katie Holmes is wearing "disgusting denim." Yes, that's right, denim. You know, like, jeans. That kind of disgusting denim.

Katie Holmes is in disguise. She's wearing large sunglasses, a relaxed fitting plaid shirt, baggy jeans and what appear to be comfortable, brown shoes. What's wrong with that? OMG! What were they thinking?!? How amazingly incredible that a person would be caught wearing clothes, that a famous person would be caught wearing clothes in a disguising manner. It's so new! It's so fresh! No one has ever worn different clothes before to try to have less paparazzo on them. Oh wait, that happens every single day of waking life.

Paparazzi exist. Photographers chase people down. They slink in alleys to get that one revealing picture. Celebrities accordingly dress different, wear large sunglasses and become apathetic to paparazzo. It is a natural process of celebrity life. It is succession.

In other news , I realized recently I don't have a motto. I have my LIVIN Approved Logo that I created in some Paint related program, but no motto.

Randy Inman has a motto, "Please read to your kids." It is a very practical and useful motto. Or, at least, a very good use of that space. Lorelei Logsdon also has a practical and useful motto, "If it smells bad, don't eat it."

I tried to give myself a motto the other day. There is a quotation from Herman Hesse that I enjoy. I could link it to some source on the internet, but that would literally entail me searching for a source to link it to. I figure I'll take out the middle-man and let you search for the source.

"If my life were not a dangerous, painful experiment, if I did not constantly skirt the abyss and feel the void under my feet, my life would have no meaning and I would not have been able to write anything." - Herman Hesse

You talked me into it. I Googled the Herman Hesse quote. Yes, I Googled it. I did not Yahoo it. (Sorry, that's how I roll.) There are at least a handful of pages that include that quotation. Anyway, back to mottos. I tried to use that Herman Hesse quotation as my motto, but, alas, it consisted of too many characters for the limited space provided for a motto. I know what you're thinking, "this is prejudice against verbose people who need long mottos." Exactly what I was thinking. So, I'm cheating.

I have a new motto! Brace yourself. My new AC motto, literally, is "Katie Holmes Wears Clothes!" And it means any and everything in this article. Therefore, my motto includes the Herman Hesse quotation AND an entire article. Heck, my motto should just be "the internet" and link to that fabulous contraption. To see my new motto in action, check out my profile and look on the left hand side, just above my favorites.

For the record, Yes, my last two articles have talked about my "new boss" and/or employees of my "new boss" in sometimes not so flattering ways. For the record, I'm not scared. Because if I had some kind of fear about the situation, it could simply become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

P.S. Yahoo has a sense of humor, right?

I don't have a motto either unless you count if something can go wrong it will, but that is more my reality then my motto. I think if I ever had paparazzi after me I would make that what not to wear column every month. I love my sweat pants and baggy sweatshirts, at least in the winter time.

Technically, yes, I don't have a boss in a traditional sense. Good point.
