Breaking News: Sen. John Ensign's Parents Paid His Mistress $100,000

It was just reported that Republican Senator John Ensign's (R-NV) parents paid his mistress $100,000. Sen. Ensign's parents are wealthy casino owners in Nevada and there is little doubt that they paid his mistress to keep her mouth shut. Can you blame them? I'm sure they have received the benefits of their son being a U.S. Senator, one would think?

What in the hell is going wrong with all these cheating-ass politicians? I know many will defend them and their acts, but it does show their true side. If you take a vow to cherish and honor someone then turn around and cheat...why would any normal person think that this type of person would'nt cheat someone they don't know?

Right now it is the Republican's being caught red-handed. Along with Ensign, just last week we had to watch a blabbering Mark Sanford admit to cheating on his wife. Some are asking why all the outrage when a Republican is caught versus a Democrat?

Well, these Republican politicians run on a "moral-majority" or "family-values" ticket. So that sets them up for a harder fall when they are caught. Sure, most politicians claim some sort of religious ideology but eventually power, greed and lust win them over. It has happened throughout political history and will continue long after most of us are gone.

No party, whether Republicans or Democrats, can claim to be more moral than the next. Standards are different when you set them as this and then do that. I have no pity for any of them. Regardless of political party!

So, to end, if you project that you are a family value politician...maybe you should keep it in your pants and only put it in your wife! Sometimes you have to be blunt to get it through to certain individuals. John Ensign, Mark Sanford and any other politician that lies or cheats, should be rushed out the exit door...ASAP! Good riddance to them and those like them.

Amen! YOu cannot trust a cheat! After all, if they won't honor their marriage vows, then oaths obviously mean nothing to them (like the little one about "upholding and defending the Constitution"). Is it any wonder why we've got the government that we do?
