Breastfeeding Doll for Children: Come on Let Children Be Children
Exposing Children to Motherhood at an Early Age Could Lead to Problems
The doll makes real sucking noises and cries when she wants more milk. According to Fox News, some parents like the idea of having doll that promotes breastfeeding, but feel that it's inappropriate for young females. To introduce a common theme among mother's with children to a population of youth that really don't understand the concepts of breastfeeding could lead to other issues such as sexual experimentation or confuse young children in understanding adulthood.
Personally, a breastfeeding doll shouldn't be marketed to young children because in today's society we already expect children to grow up to fast already. Children should be allowed to grow up as a child running; playing and not worrying about the things that adults are faced with all the time. Motherhood will come to young females as they grow and mature, but shouldn't be pushed on them with a toy.
Children growing up will already be exposed to adult issues because of the way TV and society has pushed products on the market. Any breastfeeding doll should only be used at the appropriate time when they're introduced to sex education.
Parents that allow their daughter to have a breastfeeding doll should exercise extreme caution in the use of the doll. Society is filled with disturbed people that might get the wrong impression by seeing a young child acting out a breastfeeding. The best recommendation is to explain to your child that the breastfeeding doll is inappropriate because the doll is designed as a teaching tool once they get to the age to learn about the aspects of motherhood.
People will have different views on the breastfeeding doll Bebe Gloton, but either way consider the possible discussions or events that the purchase of the doll could cause. Allow young females the opportunity to grow up being a child without the introduction of adult themed toys. They'll learn on their own as they grow or at the appropriate time from you once you decide to have that discussion every parent usually has with their children about the "birds and the bees."
Children love dolls, but breastfeeding dolls shouldn't be considered until the time is right in a child's life. Let's allow them to be children without a care in the world because adult life if already filled with enough challenges.

Post a Comment"Little girls shouldn't be practicing mothering skills"???
What do you think they are doing when they play with dolls period? When they give the doll a bottle, when they rock the doll to sleep, when they push the doll in a doll stroller, when they put the doll in a high chair... these are all examples of practicing mothering skills. So why shouldn't breastfeeding be a part of that as well?
For pete sake! This is not something I'd give to my little girls, if they were that little still. I'm all for women who can breastfeeding, but little girls shouldn't be "practicing" mothering skills! *sigh* I hope it won't stick around long.
