Breathe Deep Nourishment Body Cream - Product Review

Lori Leidig
Deciding to use the Breathe at Night Intense Hydration Body Cream at night, I also bought it's counterparts figuring that staying with the same line of products couldn't hurt. Thus I've been mainly using this Breathe brand of Deep Nourishment Body Cream in the Calm scent. I like it.

As with the Nighttime cream, this Deep Nourishment cream uses Shea Butter as it's softening and hydrating agent. The cream does smell like Shea, but not overly so. It's very mildly scented, just like the night cream. I believe the Calm series has as it's base a Lotus Blossom scent. It's light and airy, I can tell you that. But you can also choose to get it in other scents such as Comfort (vanilla milk), Delight (tamarind nectar), Energy (ginger verbena), and a few others.

The Breathe line isn't as intense as night creams. What I mean to say is that most products for night use are more heavy-duty to take full advantage of any reparative qualities during the most advantageous time... while we sleep. As a day cream, do not expect that same level of hydration from this Deep Nourishment Body Cream.

Man. That sounded like I was trying to justify weakness or something. I'm not. I have no need to. Breathe Deep Nourishment is good stuff. It's very thick and creamy like the night stuff, just milder for day wear is all. It does the job. OK... it does the job in conjunction with the night cream.

They Say: With deeply hydrating Shea butter and a blend of active oat and protective antioxidants, this super-rich body cream deeply nourishes skin, providing all-day moisture. Let its soothing fragrance inspire absolute calm.

OK look. It's like reviewing shampoos and conditioners separately. You use them together, so it's really hard to separate the results out and attribute them to one of the items, right? Oh bother....

This half of the dynamic duo of body creams comes in a very pretty light blue jar to compliment the dark blue of the night cream and make them easy to tell apart. The lid easily screws off of this 50ml size making it very arthritis-friendly. Hey, that matters to me.

This 50ml size is currently on special for $2.50 (normally $6), but it is available in 200 ml size for $16.50. I just prefer the smaller sizes due to luggage room. We travel a lot.

Now, I said it's hard to separate which cream does how much when using a set, and that's true... but I'm going with 4 stars for Breathe Calm Deep Nourishment Body Cream after giving the Night version a full 5. This is because I do own quite a few body creams, lotions, and butters and compared to those, this is, well, typical. I do see results, but I feel them more acutely upon waking... which tells me that the other half is the best of the two. Does that make any sense to anyone?

Sounds heavenly. That made me think of this small jar in the medicine cabinet; the label fell off and for the life of me can not remember if it is; day cream, night cream or like Ponds or Noxema that you wash the face with. Whenever I happen to notice it, which is usually in the morning, I remind myself to try it at night, and by night forget all about trying to figure what the hell it is for, think I will go try it on my feet right now.
