Breathe Right with HoMedics Brethe Air Revitalizer

You wouldn't be able to tell it from all the dirty dishes in sink, the bags of trash piled up on the kitchen floor, and the loose hairs covering the counter and floor of the bathroom, but my wife is a clean freak. It is only because she is busy working nights and I am constantly writing these articles that this is so, but when we get in mode, it is two days straight. Since time seems to go by so quickly and the dirt starts to pile up, and the air fresheners disappear in a matter of a week, we invested in a little product from HoMedics called the Brethe Air Revitalizer BRT-150.

I purchased three of these to double as an interior design piece. They look amazing with a soft blue ambient light powered by an LED. You can see the liquid, swirling and tinged blue by the light in the transparent bottom and the top is a grayish sliver and stylish, high in the back, low in the front with slots for the mist to come through.

The Brethe Air works much like a humidifier by swirling the liquid, it sucks in air and releases a scented, super-fine mist. It is refillable with 3 different scents-citrus, lime, or vanilla. You can also find simple recipes on the internet to mix your own refill using essential oils of your choice, so your options are unlimited.

After I started my Brethe Air Revitalizers, it only took seconds before I could smell the affects. HoMedics claims that this device will remove up to 99% of odor causing bacteria from the air. I have no way to test this, but I'm certain the mix contains a microbicide that works much like Lysol. They also claim that this product will maintain humidity levels, but because of the actual amounts of moisture released, I am led to disbelieve this statement.

The mix used is also environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-flammable, and free of alcohol. It does what it is supposed to and better than I thought it would. I have not had to buy or use any additional air fresheners in the time that I have been using the HoMedics Brethe Air Revitalizer.

If you are shopping around for something like this, nothing I have found meets its caliber. It is a one-of-a-kind device of which I have not found an equal. The only drawback is that it is a little pricey. I bought mine at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, but you can find it cheaper online at www.amazon.com where it sells for $48.95.
