This causes an imbalance of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the lungs. This imbalance causes a build up of toxins which would have normally been eliminated if we were breathing properly.
This is why correct breathing is critical in maintaining proper oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the lungs. Proper breathing techniques have always been part of Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai-Chi, and other meditation practices. It's through proper breathing that these meditation practices are most effective.
Whenever proper breathing is achieved you're sending more oxygen to all cells of your body that result in better health, mood, and more energy. This is critical to living a more healthy and productive life.
However if we do not get enough oxygen into all cells of our body we then have the feeling of being fatigue and depressed. This is why it's critical to learn how to properly breathe.
How to breathe correctly:
Slowly start breathing in through your nose. Breathe into your belly so that your diaphragm starts to expand.
Hold your breath until the count of 5.
Slowly exhale through your mouth until all the oxygen has been released from your lungs.
Repeat this process about 4 more times.
This breathing exercise should be done in the morning before you start your day and also during the daytime hours also. Performing the breathing exercise before bedtime is good way to relax your body and get a better night sleep.
This is also a great way to relieve stress and tension during the day whether you're at work, home with the kids, or stuck in traffic.
As you apply correct breathing to your everyday life you will start to see a change in your mood, energy level and overall well being.
It's unfortunate that proper breathing is not something your doctor would prescribe to you for certain aliments that would improve with proper breathing. This information is not too widespread in today's medical community. Correct breathing is used in Holistic Health therapy and is not something that is often suggested by a physician.
If the healthcare industry can't make money off of a remedy to prevent certain aliments, then a simple thing as proper breathing is not considered as a preventive measure for your aliment.
