Breema - Partner Yoga and Thai Massage

The Art of Living in the Present

Lou Lou
Breema is a mixture of partner yoga and Thai massage. The main goal of Breema is to focus on the present moment.

Through a series of effortless, flowing movements, the goal of a Breema practitioner is to help his recipient attain a sense of peace, calm energy, and of well being.

Breema helps recipients focus on the present. Through touch and movements, the recipient is comforted, relaxed and tensions are released.

There are nine Universal Principles, which govern the art of Breema:

Body Comfortable

When we look at the body, not as something separate, but as an aspect of a united whole, there is no place for discomfort.

No Extra

To express our True nature, nothing extra is needed.

Firmness and Gentleness

Real firmness is always gentle. Real gentleness is always firm. When we are present, we naturally manifest firmness and gentleness simultaneously.

Full Participation

The most natural way of moving and living is with full participation. Full participation is possible when body, mind, and feels are united in a common aim.

Mutual Support

The more our Being participates, the more we are able to support life and recognize that Existence supports us. Giving and receiving take place simultaneously.

No Judgment

The atmosphere of nonjudgment gives us a taste of acceptance of ourselves as we are in the moment. When we come to the present, we are free from judgment.

Single Moment/Single Activity

Each moment is new, fresh, and totally alive. Each moment is an expression of our True nature, complete by itself.

No Hurry/No Pause

In the natural rhythm of life energy, there is no hurry and no pause.

No Force

When we let go of assumptions of separation, we let go of force.

According to Breema doctrine, the body instinctively and thoroughly comprehends the nine Universal Principles. The Breema practitioner, in session, is able to uncover this buried knowledge and our health and other areas of life are forever changed.

A Breema session usually takes place in a clean room, on the floor with the recipient fully dressed and relaxed. The practitioner taps, stretches, and moves the recipient throughout the session. Choreographed movements are also a part of the session. Sessions can also be conducted for patients who wish to stay seated or are confined to a chair or bed.

The benefits of Breema are gradual and include changes in posture, breathing, muscles & joints, circulation, digestion, and emotions. For more information visit www.breema.com.
