Bret Farve: Out Of Retirement?

General Manager Will Not Let Him Start

AllisonBeat
Green Bay Packers have won more championships than any other team in History. While all the glory may not go to Brett Farve, he did lead the Green Bay Packers to two Super bowls. His records are known across the world of football having broken the records held by Dan Marino in these fields; Career Passing Yards; Career Completions; Career Passing attempts; and Career Touchdown Passes. These records are just the tip of the iceberg.

So why would he want to leave the world of football with such a great legacy created? Perhaps it was not taking the Packers to the Super bowl this past year. Both teams played a great game; the New York Giants were destined to go this past year, Manning Vs. Manning. Perhaps it was leaving on his own terms, not from the fear of being washed up.

The good news/not so good news, came this week when Brett Farve asked the Packers to release him from his current contract to play for another team. This translates to Brett wants back in.

Who would want to release arguably the best quarterback in the NFL to go to another team, to play your team with a rookie quarterback next season? Seems like a conflict of interest. But consider this, Brett has given almost 20 years of his life, his blood, and, his body--to Green Bay. The team retired his number "04". But yet cannot see clear to release this man to play for another team? Green Bay Packers will allow Farve back on the team, out of retirement that is, but only if he comes back as a second stringer. Talk about humiliation for Brett Farve, almost explains why he would want to go to a new team. Perhaps he needs a new start and there are things going on with the management that Brett wants to get away from.

We can be sure of one thing. This is one sticky situation where the world will definitely hear more Green Bay Packers and Brett Farve. Training camps are starting all over the NFL, which marks the beginning of the wonderful season of football, and this year should be especially interesting for the Packers Fans. Where will their loyalty be?

I love football and respect Favre's talent..but as I mentioned on Rodney Southerland's page..I'm becoming disgusted with cry baby ball players. I did enjoy this post, however ;-)
