Bret Hart Resurrection of WWF and WCW Within WWE: Is Bret Hart Worth the Money to WWE

SDR2010
Bret Hart was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time in the WWF or World Wrestling Federation. He was the WWF champion several times and held all of the championship belts within the company. Bret Hart participated in a documentary titled Wrestling With Shadows and this is a film that changed the course of wrestling history. I purchased

Wrestling With Shadows on eBay because I was always a big fan of Bret Hart. Wrestling With Shadows depicts the life of Bret Hart as he considers a contract offer from WCW. He eventually accepts the offer from WCW and he leaves WWF for WCW. The film Wrestling With Shadows is about how his decision to wrestle in WCW changed the rest of his time in WWF. Bret Hart left WWF for WCW in 1997 and went on to hold every major belt within WCW. However, Wrestling With Shadows shows the problems between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels that eventually lead to Bret Hart spitting in the face of Vince McMahon and heading to WCW. This incident within the WWF had become known as the Montreal Screwjob or the single most famous wrestling occurrence within the WWF. It was so big that WCW used the Montreal Screwjob as a way of promoting Bret Hart within the WCW against the WWF.

Bret Hart has not been in the ring of the WWF (or WWE) ever since the Montreal Screwjob and this is something that destroyed his time within WCW. The film Wrestling With Shadows depicts the Montreal Screwjob as something that would change life for Bret Hart. It ruined his stay in WCW and tarnished his legacy with WWE to the point where fans of the WWE had essentially forgotten Bret Hart. In the beginning of 2010 Bret Hart signed a contract with WWE despite having been forced to retire from WCW years earlier. According to Wrestlescoop, Bret Hart was paid $500,000 for a story line within WWE between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon. Bret Hart has appeared within WWE three times on RAW since the contract started in January. WWE has invested a lot of money in Bret Hart to bring back his WWF or WCW days but I find that the storyline with Bret Hart has fallen short so far. Bret Hart can't throw punches as he could when he was in WWF or WCW and the entire angle is an attempt to relive the Montreal Screwjob and Wrestling With Shadows.
