Bret Michaels Proposes to Long Time Girlfriend Kristi Gibson
Bret Michaels found much success is his rock and roll career, a success that has yet to falter. From being the frontman of Poison, to his solo career, Michaels has perpetually found success. His time on Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice" tapped in to a new parallel of uncharted success. And once again his name was "out there." He showed his true colors on the show, making fans like him that much more. He was seen as a logical man, despite the level of success he had already encountered. Michaels showed himself to be a resourceful person on "Celebrity Apprentice". And a good person to have on your team.
He's no stranger to reality television having had his own show on "Rock of Love" (2007-2009), for three seasons. On each episode Bret claimed to be in search for the women of his dreams. He also participated in "Nashville Star", as a judge, in 2007, during the shows fifth season. "Nashville Star", much like "American Idol", was created to discover new musical talent.
Last April, Bret was in intensive care for more than a month due to a brain hemorrhage and stroke. After his recovery he went on to win "Celebrity Apprentice" a couple of months later. He earned a total of $640,000 for his chosen charity, the American Diabetes Association.
In 2007, Michaels and his bandmates visited with Al Asad Air Base where they visited the troops in support of Armed Forces Entertainment.
His solo studio albums include Songs of Life in 2003, Freedom of Sound in 2005, and Custom Built in 2010. Once a Cowboy, Always a Cowboy is set for release in 2011. His compliation albums include Ballads, Blues & Stories and Rock My World. And that's not even counting his musical success with Poison.
