UPDATE: March 27, 2010 6:58 pm - According to Bret Michaels website, the singer has suffered a setback in his condition. It's reported that the singer has hyponatremia caused by the lack of sodium in the body which can cause seizures. Doctors remain hopeful and more information will be released next Monday.

Poison frontman Bret Michaels, 47, remains hospitalized in critical condition after suffering a brain hemorrhage last Thursday. A spokesperson has said his medical report will be released this week on his website, bretmichaels.com.

According to a statement issued on the site late Sunday night on the rockers website, there appears to be some concern about unauthorized media interviews and misinformation being given out. Apparently, those being interviewed are not authorized to do so. Ambre Lake, season two winner of Rock of Love and his father, Wallace Sychak, have both given interviews and have spoken in regards to Bret's condition.

"None and I reiterate, none, of the people that have been interviewed are authorized representatives nor do they have the right to speak on Bret's behalf. We have attempted to release authorized statements through our publicist so as to keep everyone up to date as information becomes available," Janna said.

She added that she finds it "...inappropriate that people are granting interviews to the media when they have partial or incorrect information, no right to nor our approval to do so."

Here is what is known about Bret Michaels condition:

- Last Thursday, musician Bret Michaels complained of having a severe headache. Just before midnight, he was rushed to an undisclosed Los Angeles hospital where it was found he suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (a form of stroke).

- Bret has undergone a battery of tests that include MRIs and CAT Scans. He will have more testing done this week in hopes they will help determine the source of the bleeding.

- Bret is still in critical condition in the ICU unit and is under 24-hour medical care. Doctors are monitoring his condition closely.

- As a result of the brain hemorrhage, Bret is suffering from slurred speech, blurred vision, and dizziness, among other symptoms. This is to be expected.

- Recovery following a subarachnoid bleed depends on factors including the location and extent of the bleed and whether there have been complications such as stroke or seizures.

Earlier this month, Bret Michaels had an emergency appendectomy in San Antonio, Texas just before he was scheduled to perform at Sea World. The Celebrity Apprentice contestant also suffers from Type 1 diabetes. It's not known if diabetes plays any part in his current condition.
