Brett Favre, Cad or True Victim of Latest Sexual Lawsuit?

Carol Whyte
Brett Favre continues to wade in hot water as two former massage therapists for the New York Jets have filed a lawsuit against the football great. Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole filed a suit on Monday in New York against Favre, the New York Jets and Lisa Ripi who hires therapists for the Jets.

Scavo and O'Toole claim that when they and Favre were all in the employ of the Jets in 2008 that Favre treated them inappropriately. Specifically, Scavo said that Favre wrote a text message to O'Toole stating, "Brett here, you and Crissy want to get together, I'm all alone."

Scavo's interpretation of that was Favre wanted to have a three-way with the two therapists. She also stated that Favre treated her "like a hanging slab of meat". Christina Scavo's husband, Joseph, even called Favre demanding an apology.

After the incident, both therapists were never offered to work with the New York Jets, and their attorney Elizabeth Eilender said her clients felt they had no other choice than to file the suit since the Jets would not rehire them.

Brett Favre was just recently fined a whopping $50,000 by the NFL on claims that he didn't cooperate in their investigation into his sending inappropriate text messages to Jenn Sterger who worked as a Jets host in 2008.

Attorney Elizabeth Eilender was asked on GMA about the timing of the lawsuits and her response was, "It's clear that there's no change going on at the Jets, and it's not right, and it happens to be illegal."

Favre just announced this past Sunday that he is retiring from the NFL.

While it may tempting to state that Brett Favre is some kind of sexual pervert, one must question the timing of Scavo and O'Toole's lawsuit. Why did they wait until now to file such a claim? Did it have to do something with the Jenn Sterger incident and the fact that Favre has money?

If in fact the allegations are true, one might think that the two women would have said something long before the Jenn Sterger incident came to light. It almost looks as if the two lined up in front of the bandwagon for their payday.

However, there are always two sides to a story and one can't ignore that where there's smoke, there's fire.
