Brett Favre of the Minnesota Vikings - Super Bowl Bound? - Dreadful First Year as an Atlanta Falcon
Brett Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1991 NFL draft. Atlanta Falcons head coach, Jerry Glanville, did not endorse Favre's signing with the Falcons. Although Glanville stated that he would not put Favre into the game unless there was a plane crash, Favre did get a little playing time out on the field as an Atlanta Falcon quarterback. Brett Favre attempted only four passes. Two of them were intercepted and the other two were incomplete.
Shortly after signing with the Atlanta Falcons, Brett Favre did not show up for the team picture event. He later admitted that he had been out late drinking the night before, but initially told coach Glanville that he was stuck in traffic behind a train wreck. Reportedly, Glanville responded back, "Son, you are a train wreck!"
A few months later, Brett Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers. It is unfortunate for the Atlanta Falcons that they did not see the incredible potential of Brett Favre.
Brett Favre of the Minnesota Vikings - Super Bowl Bound? - Amazing 16 Seasons as a Green Bay Packer
Brett Favre's first pass as a Green Bay Packer was deflected back towards him and he completed his own pass for minus 7 yards.
Things got much better for Brett Favre after that. He became the Green Bay Packer's starting quarterback for 16 amazing seasons. He started every Packer game from September 27, 1992 to January 20, 2008, and currently holds the record for the most consecutive starts of any NFL player. Brett Favre led the Green Bay Packers to many winning seasons and two appearances at the Super Bowl. Favre and the Packers won Super Bowl XXXI against the New England Patriots, with Favre completing 14 of 27 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns.
Brett Favre is also remembered for playing in a Monday night Green Bay Packer game against the Oakland Raiders on December 22, 2003. Favre's father passed away of a sudden heart attack the day before. Brett Favre, who threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns to win the game, decided to play, dedicating it to his father.
Brett Favre of the Minnesota Vikings - Super Bowl Bound? - Retires and Returns to the NFL Twice
Brett Favre retired at the end of the 2007 season on January of 2008. However, later on that same year, Favre decided to come out of retirement. The Green Bay Packers traded Brett Favre to the New York Jets. In February of 2009, after the 2008 season, he retired again from the Jets. In August of 2009, he then came out of retirement again and was traded to the Minnesota Vikings.

Brett Favre led the Vikings to a 2009 winning season, with 12 wins and 4 losses, and a second place finish in the NFC North division. But most importantly, he has led the Minnesota Vikings to the playoffs. Favre will play his first playoff game as a Minnesota Viking against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Jan 17th.

Post a CommentNot a fan of Favre-
great work
I believe he was signed as a free agent after his retirement from the Jets, also, I believe the Vikings finished FIRST in the NFC North in 2009, not second...
More sports . . .
Nice work. :-)
Once they retire they should stay retired - but its no money in pocket if he wins or not so I don't truly care!
