Brett Favre of the Minnesota Vikings - Super Bowl Bound? - Dreadful First Year as an Atlanta Falcon

Brett Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1991 NFL draft. Atlanta Falcons head coach, Jerry Glanville, did not endorse Favre's signing with the Falcons. Although Glanville stated that he would not put Favre into the game unless there was a plane crash, Favre did get a little playing time out on the field as an Atlanta Falcon quarterback. Brett Favre attempted only four passes. Two of them were intercepted and the other two were incomplete.

Shortly after signing with the Atlanta Falcons, Brett Favre did not show up for the team picture event. He later admitted that he had been out late drinking the night before, but initially told coach Glanville that he was stuck in traffic behind a train wreck. Reportedly, Glanville responded back, "Son, you are a train wreck!"

A few months later, Brett Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers. It is unfortunate for the Atlanta Falcons that they did not see the incredible potential of Brett Favre.

I believe he was signed as a free agent after his retirement from the Jets, also, I believe the Vikings finished FIRST in the NFC North in 2009, not second...
