Sure, They're Official ... But They're Not Forever Binding

- Nick Saban officially denied that he was interested in the Alabama job.
- Bill Clinton officially denied, under oath, that he had relations with that woman.
- Lucy swore, officially, that she wouldn't pull the football away from Charlie Brown this time.
- George Bush the First officially promised not to introduce any new taxes.
- Pete Rose officially swore that he didn't bet on baseball.
- Shaggy swore, on video, that it wasn't him.
- Ryne Sandberg retired, and it didn't stick.
- Michael Jordan retired, and couldn't hit with a stick.
- Andy Reid had an official press conference and said that Michael Vick was his third stringer.

So you see, Favre's official paperwork don't necessarily mean that we'll never see him in uniform again, but it does give him some options. He is now cleanly free of the Vikings and can pursue other opportunities that come his way, like celebrity golf, "Dancing With The Stars," or the Arizona Cardinals. After all, chances are good that we'll never truly be free of Brett Favre.
