Brett Favre Story Grows as a Married Masseuse Claims He Texted Her Asking for a Threesome

In early August, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was said to have texted, or sexted, New York Jets sideline reporter and former Playboy model Jenn Sterger with explicit messages; some of which, it was said, contained photos of Favre's penis.

When the story was first reported on Deadspin, it did not really receive a lot of national attention as there was no evidence, verified or otherwise, to back up the claim.

But as Favre visits the New York Jets at the New Meadowlands Stadium on Monday night to take on his former team, he will do so in the shadow of an explosive report published this week on Deadspin that contains a man's voice that sounds a lot like Favre's leaving a message for what the website says is Jenn Sterger. Even more potentially embarrassing for Favre are pictures of a man's naked penis, which Deadspin says is Favre's.

The National Football League is investigating the matter and there have been some reports that Favre could actually be suspended for violating personal conduct guidelines that apply to all National Football League players.

Even if the allegations against Favre are proven true, if the story ends here, it likely won't be the first thing that people think of when they think of Brett Favre in five or ten years. He could have a very hard time holding onto his sponsors, not to mention his wife, but people's attitudes towards athletes having one affair are relatively blasé and permissive.

But this weekend, another story involving Favre and sexual misconduct has been reported on Deadspin, this time involving two New York Jets employees who were masseuses, one married, for the Jets when Favre played there. The Jets had a large staff of masseuses there to help the players recover from football related injuries and stiffness.

Two, who are referred to only as "Lindsay" and "Mandy" in the story, say they received raunchy text messages from Favre and at one point, he asked that they both join them in his room for a threesome. While neither has given their names out yet, the report says they are considering doing so.

As of yet, none of the allegations made against Brett Favre, including the ones made in the Sterger story, have been verified or proven true. Though, the evidence, both circumstantial and potentially direct, seems to be mounting. For his part, Favre has not denied any of it and simply has refused comment.

But as the Tiger Woods story unfolded last year, when each day seemed to have another woman coming out of the woodwork to discuss her sexual relations with Woods, the start of this story is ominous for Favre. Nobody is claiming that Favre had sex with Sterger or the masseuses. That said, if a pattern of behavior on the part of Favre is established and if any more women come forward, sooner or later it seems likely that this could grow into a major scandal for him; one that makes sexting Jenn Sterger and two masseuses seem like just the beginning.
