CNN confirmed with the LA Coroner that Michael Jackson has died. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop is dead, the initial news reports caused mass confusion and a frenzy online, and on places such as Twitter. TMZ and other media are breaking news that Michael Jackson has died as a result of a cardiac arrest, and that paramedic were unable to revive him. The 911 call came in at 12:21PM that Michael Jackson collapsed in his Holmby Hills residence. Jackson was not breathing when firefighters arrived.

Jackson was only 50 years old, and was a beloved performer and entertainer. Fans worldwide grew up listening to Michael Jackson's music, and imitating his extraordinary dance moves such as the infamous "Moonwalk". The King of Pop is survived by his three, very young children, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II. Jackson's famous family, including his sister La Toya and mother Catherine, were on their route to the hospital at UCLA where Michael was pronounced dead.

Fans are gathering outside the UCLA medical center for a Michael Jackson vigil and to pray for his family. CNN is reporting that thousands of fans are gathering in front of UCLA. Michael was in Los Angeles preparing for his farewell concerts that were scheduled this summer and fall in England.

Brian Oxman, longtime Jackson family spokesperson talked live on CNN and expressed his shock as well as sadness that Michael Jackson has died. Oxman reported that Michael had problems with medications, and that it was something that his family was well aware of. According to Oxman, he warned Jackson's family about Michael's medication problem and the combination that was prescribed.

Oxman made statements that prescription medication could have been the cause of Michael's collapse and cardiac arrest. Statements made by Oxman on CNN were shocking to say the least.

Oxman reported that Jackson collapsed. Speaking to CNN from inside the hospital, Oxman said he has met with Michael's brothers Jermaine and Randy and that "everyone is rather speechless... everyone is just very stunned at the events that have happened."

Michael's Death Causes An Online Frenzy
Many social network websites came to a screeching halt when the news of Michael Jackson's death broke. Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and AIM could not even function for many users as masses of members flooded the social networks with messages. Confusion set in as no official statements from Jackson family came in, and no one knew for certain if Michael was dead or just hospitalized.

Twitter.com is filled with messages for Michael, his young children and the entire Jackson family. The world of music, and fans worldwide are absolutely stunned that the King of Pop is dead, a tragedy that is still very hard to believe.

    hi i am a big fan of michael and when i heard about his death i was shocked and did not know what to do but may god let his soul rest in peace and why they have to do the burial without his brains instead of that let him lie in peace
