Bribery, Doping & Bans Over the Last Two Months, What's Next for FIFA?

LISA

On Saturday FIFA had to announce yet another ban in the world of Football. They banned Chief Mohammed Bin Hammam from Soccer for Life after he was charged with bribing delegates for votes in the presidential election. The chief didn't have much to say on his behalf but he is not alone. Recently FIFA has had to ban several women's football players after finding dope in their systems on a random drug screening from the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA) which they are partners with.

Jong Sun Song and Sim Pok Jong were banned on July 7 th not allowing them to play in the Women's World Cup this year due to the screening proceeding Yineth Varon who was also found positive after a drug screening in the weeks before.

For those of you who don't know FIFA (Federation' International de Football Association) is the chief of world football quite literally what they say goes. They are still working hard to ensure that the Women's World Cup is fair this year that's for sure. With 3 under their belt previously, many are still surprised by the Ban this Saturday. But make no mistake they took a good 2 days of deliberation on this one.

So how do you change the outlook of Football to the world when so many bans are taking place? In most cases the fan will still watch no matter how shady the world of sports gets because we all love a good game every now and then. As for FIFA ? We are pretty sure they will continue to strive to keep the dope and the bribes to a minimum, and bring us the great games of the year.
