The Richmond Bridal Expo is a great way to get in contact with the type of companies you need for your wedding. The Expo is set up to make it as easy as possible for you to find exactly what you are looking for. The Expo tickets for January will cost $8 per person in advance through the website or $10 at the door on the day of the Expo. If you are a bride-to-be, this is something you definitely want to attend.
First, you will make it through a line and fill out a form about yourself and your fiancé. Then usually you have the option to fill out a small paper for the chance to win a trip (there will be more of these throughout the Expo, I promise). You are also given in this process that you put on your shirt and it says "Bride To Be". By wearing the pin, sales people know exactly who the person is that makes the decisions.
Second, you just browse until your heart is content! The companies that you can information from include: flower companies, cake companies, DJ's, photographers, videographers, make-up companies, vacation companies, and many more. There are many options to choose from, so it is best to browse in a pattern. Just start from one side of the building and walk the isles. Make sure you do not miss the limos in the back. There is also a fashion show of bridal gowns on two different stages, both located in the back of the building.
Most companies give away free samples of their products. This is a great way to get goodies and discover which companies you like best. Make sure to bring a bag with you so that you can carry around the samples, cards, and various flyers you are given.
The Expo also provides a perfect place for companies to show brand new products. This is a great way for you to get in on the latest products before your friends hear about them. The Richmond Expos are especially known for putting Brides ahead of the curve. Look for the perfect dress and the perfect groom's outfit to match.
