Bridal Shower: Garden Party Decoration Ideas

Whether your garden party bridal shower is being held outdoors or indoors, there are a number of ways to decorate that will create a festive and fun atmosphere for all of the guests, including the bride. Each of the ideas below can be used on its own, or they can all be combined together for one super garden bridal shower.

Garden Bridal Shower Decoration: Fresh Fruit and Punch Table

On your punch table at your garden bridal shower, decorate with a lot of fresh fruit. Oranges, limes, grapes, and blueberries all add a lot of color, in addition to working really well with punch. If you mix together a basic fruit punch with club soda and fruit juice concentrate, you can let your guests garnish it with whatever fruits they choose, and maybe even those cute little umbrella stirrers.

Garden Bridal Shower Decoration: Croquet

This isn't exactly a decoration, but it will set the mood and theme very well for an outdoor garden party. Set up a croquet set in the yard, complete with obstacles if you want to be tricky. Guests will enjoy seeing it when they arrive, and hopefully they will even use it to play a game or two as they are waiting for things to get started at the bridal shower.

Garden Bridal Shower Decoration: Fresh Flowers

One of the best ways to decorate a garden bridal shower is to have fresh flowers displayed. If you have some blooms in your own garden, snip a few of them and put them in bud vases on the tables. Even just a flower or two will go a long way in setting the mood at your garden party.

If you don't have much to choose from in your own garden, go buy some fresh garden flowers, or even wildflowers, and put them in vases or metal buckets around the party area. Wicker baskets also make great containers for cut flowers, if you don't mind that they won't be in water (or you can put a plastic container inside the wicker basket to fill with water to keep the flowers perky.

Garden Bridal Shower Decoration: Patio Furniture

Surprisingly, having a lot of patio furniture around your garden party area will actually make it feel really festive, because people associate patio furniture with sitting outdoors on warm spring days. If you don't have much patio furniture, see if you can borrow some from your neighbors for the day. It will also have the added benefit of making a lot of places for people to sit on, without you having to drag your dining chairs outside.

Garden Bridal Shower Decoration: Streamers

Streamers in bright colors are a great way to decorate at your garden bridal shower, and the best part is that they can be hung from just about anything in whatever way you want. If you are indoors, make use of doorways, ceiling fans, and curtain rods. Outdoors, use a small stepladder to get into any low-hanging tree branches in the area, and tie them to your chairs and table legs.
