Bridal Shower Ideas: Last-Minute Party Favors

Kristen May
If you are a bridal shower host who is looking for last-minute favors to give to bridal shower guests, there are a number of things that you can put together very quickly and with little or no preparation needed on your part.

Last-Minute Bridal Shower Favor: Decorated Cupcakes

This one requires the most time on your part of any of the items on this list, and it's not even very hard. The supplies you will need are a few boxes of cake mix (and the proper ingredients to turn that into cake), some cupcake paper shells, pretty saran wrap, a couple containers of vanilla frosting, and some basic food coloring.

The hardest part of all of this is that you have to make all the cupcakes. Be sure to prepare at least 1-2 cupcakes for each guest, so they will still have one to take home after eating one if they can't resist. Prepare the cupcakes as directed on the box, and while those are baking, whip together some bowls of colored frosting by mixing the prepared frosting with a few drops of food coloring.

At the bridal shower, have a time when girls can decorate cupcakes. You can even give them a theme or a challenge and vote on who made the best cupcake. When that is over, give them saran wrap so they can wrap up their cupcakes and take them home to enjoy later (because they are sure to be full of the other snacks you are providing).

Last-Minute Bridal Shower Favor: Polaroid Photos

It may take a little bit of hunting, but if you can find a Polaroid camera, or even one that comes in a miniature disposable format, you are sure to give guests some great memories as bridal shower party favors. The only supply you need is the Polaroid camera and at least one shot for each guest at the party.

As one of the activities at the bridal shower, tell the guests that you will be giving them each the chance to take a picture with the bride in a pose that encompasses the essence of their relationship. There are sure to be some funny poses that require some explanation, and then each guest will have a photo to remember the day and the bride by.

If you want to be really fancy, have some craft materials available so that the guests can put together a crafty photo frame to go around their Polaroid portrait with the bride.

Last-Minute Bridal Shower Favor: Garden Seeds

Ideal for spring bridal showers, some flower or vegetable seeds are a perfect gift to give to people who come to the bridal shower. This is because you can tell them that as they plant and water the seeds, they should think of the seed of the marriage that is being planted and nourished in the new husband and wife. Anything from easy-to-grow flowers to zucchini and tomatoes will work, and the guests will enjoy seeing the plants grow and yield good produce and pretty flowers!
