Just 20 minutes from downtown Portland, Oregon, located on Interstate 5, is the beautiful Bridgeport Village Shopping Center. This new upscale village spans 28 acres and has 502,000 sq. feet of fine restaurants, theaters, shops and office space. Bridgeport Village bills itself as a 'dining and entertainment experience unlike any other in the Pacific Northwest'.
The architecture of Bridgeport Village is reminiscent of an open-air European-style shopping experience and features some of America's finest upscale retailers and restaurants. One of the fine stores is Crate & Barrel--the only one between San Francisco and Seattle and the first container store located north of San Francisco.
The Cinema is Oregon's finest with 18 screens and 4,200 full stadium-style seats. The guest services at Bridgeport Village are comparable to a five-star hotel concierge. There is valet parking year-round for $3.00 per car. For Lexus drivers, the service is complimentary as Lexus of Portland offers the valet parking. There also is a courtesy shuttle and package carry-out service. A environmentally-friendly Lexus hybrid SUV courtesy shuttle picks you up and drives you to your car.
A state of the art, outdoor sound system lets shoppers listen to music while strolling the beautiful grounds or relaxing on a comfortable bench. Many of the restaurants have outdoor dining. A beautiful fountain enhances the atmosphere and creates a unique shopping experience. Six Italian kiosks are sprinkled throughout Bridgeport Village and offer a variety of products and several bike racks are located throughout the property for bike-riding guests.
Wild Oats Natural Marketplace allows shoppers to leave their groceries while they shop or walk to their cars. When shoppers are ready to get their groceries, they drive-up in front of Wild Oats with their Wild Oats-issued number hanging from the rearview mirror and the store's associates gets your groceries and loads them into your car.
Bridgeport Village even has an umbrella service so you won't get caught in the rain. Just grab a stylish, custom-designed Bridgeport Village umbrella to use while you shop, then return it before you leave. Umbrella holders are conveniently located throughout Bridgeport Village.
To keep shoppers warm, outdoor gas heaters have been placed throughout the Village near seating areas. There's a children's play area located near the center of things where parents can grab a cup of coffee or a scoop of gelato and rest while their children work off their excess energy. Conveniently located family restrooms as well as men's and women's restroom facilities are available. The ladies' lounge and nursing room is comfortably furnished by A Gallerie.

Post a CommentTraffic flow and parking is a nightmare.
This shopping center fails to protect its own employees on site. The employee parking area is almost a mile away and female workers are forced to wait in the dark alone for a shuttle. An employee parking lot was built onsite but then it was determined that it was a better fit for shoppers, since they did not like to use the garage. An employee was attacked in the garage during the winter of 2007 and since then, I have not noticed any increase in security or patrols. Shouldn't a great shopping experience begin with the happiness and safetly of all of the staff?
Good article! I'm going shopping!
