Bridgestone J33 Cavity Back Forged Irons Reviews

Bridgestone has long been known for their Precept line of golf balls. However in recent years they have been making a quiet splash in golf club equipment with their J line of products. Many tour pros are now going with their equipment, and while they still make the Precept golf balls, Bridgestone has been selling a ball under the Bridgestone label for a few years now.

The Bridgestone J33 Cavity Back Forged Blades feature many similarities to that of the J33B irons I have already reviewed. A clean, classic, players look with quality components and great craftsmanship. The J33C irons are forged from 1020 carbon steel for a very soft feel the better player prefers. They feature a slight progressive offset, another feature the better player likes to see in the club as a straighter faced club is more easy to work the ball with. A progressive cavity back is also a great feature in making these irons more playable than the J33B. The muscle is placed lower in the club head in the longer irons to create a lower center of gravity making these long irons very easy to get into the air and is gradually raised to create a higher center of gravity and a lower, more penetrating and controllable ball flight in the mid to short irons. The rolled leading edge allows the club go get through the turf much more easily than other players clubs and reduces the chance of hitting a fat shot. True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts are standard in this set and there are many custom options available through your local Bridgestone dealer.

These irons first of all have to be the best looking cavity back blades I have ever seen! Everything about the look of these clubs is traditional when you set the club up. The cavity is not noticeable from address and the thin top line and reduced offset looks great! I was surprised at the amount of forgiveness when I of these clubs when hitting shots on the heel and toe. The ball lost a little distance, but overall flew straight on target no matter where I hit it on the face. The progressive cavity muscle really makes these clubs a joy to hit. I can hit high, working shots with the long irons and hit lower flying lasers with the mid irons down through the wedge. The feel of these clubs is incredible and were there was not a shot I could not pull off with the J33C's.

If you have not paid attention to Bridgestone Golf in the recent years, you owe it to yourself to take another look!
