The Bridgestone J33B Forged Blade irons are a purists dream. Thin top line, minimal offset and a thin sole make this club scream "work me"! The smaller head size and higher center of gravity make these clubs a shot makers dream, and a grounded leading edge promotes crisp contact shot after shot. Stock True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips make these irons not only pretty to look at, but very functional in the hands of the right golfer. These clubs are great from head to grip and custom options make them even better.
I loved these irons. They look perfect with a satin finish to the head to reduce glare, they were simply pretty to look at. There was no shot that I could not hit with these blades either. I hit the ball higher and lower at will. Working the ball left to right was absolutely no problem at all and the amount of control and responsiveness to even the slightest adjustments made these clubs even more enjoyable to swing. I must say that you need to be a pretty good ball striker to play with this set. I hit some off center hits on purpose and boy did they fly like a wounded duck! Heel shots worked out better, but toe shots would wind up right and very weak. If you are an average player, I'll be reviewing some more forgiving Bridgestone irons for you shortly.
All that said, this is one heck of a set of irons. Looks, feel, and playability will make the better golfer who likes to work the ball drool over every shot! They still even make a 2 iron in this set for those who have not got on the hybrid train just yet!
