Bright, Colorful Scunci Hair Elastics

Susan Slade
Another great deal I purchased today was the Scunci Hair Elastics from Walgreens drugstore. They were on sale for $1.99 and I received back $1.99 in Jingle Ca$h, so it is like getting the purchase for free.

I have 2 grand-daughters in England and both of them have long blonde hair. The Scunci card with 14 no slip grip bands will be a perfect stocking stuffer for them. The bands are really eye catching. They comprise of 2 yellow, 2 orange, 2 red, 2 green, 2 blue, 2 purple, and one is missing. I only have 1 black one on the bottom of the card.

I too have long hair, but normally have my hair up in a French twist. I wanted to see how these worked so I took the back of my hair down, brushed it, and then lifted it up to form a ponytail. I then took one of the bands, and I chose the blue one, as it wasn't so bright, and put my hair through it. As my hair is very thin, I twisted the elastic 3 times, so it became tight on my hair.

My husband Len, and I decided to play a game of table tennis, so it gave my hairstyle a good working out. My hair stayed in place, and the Scunci elastic didn't move.

From here I decided to swim, and with my French twist, I always have stands of hair coming down, and then they get wet. I swam 60 lengths of the heated pool, and yes, the bottom of the ponytail was wet where it had gone in the water. However, the ponytail was still tight to my head.

When I removed the Scunci from my hair, I gently pulled in downward. I didn't lose any hair, which has happened when I have used a rubber band.

Scunci is a name I trust, and they state on the packaging that these elastics are 'New Tech'. They are also gentle to the hair. They do have a choking warning on the back stating: Choking hazard - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

DISCLOSURE OF MATERIAL CONNECTION:
Paid $1.99 for it and received $1.99 back in the form of a coupon to use on my next visit.
