Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock Leave-on Perfecting Glosser Adds Shine to Hair

Chris M. Carmichael
Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock™ leave-on perfecting glosser by John Frieda is a hair treatment designed to add shine to brunette hair. Small tubes--2.4 OZ-- can last for at least a month when used as recommended. The product is a clear gel-like substance that contains glossing agents (minute particles of silica are one agent) and is used on wet or dry hair. For the highest gloss, the packaging indicates that you should distribute a small amount of the glosser (a dime-sized amount) through very wet hair, and then again apply a small amount of product to hair after the hair is dry.

What I like about Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock™ leave-on perfecting glosser:

Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock™ leave-on perfecting glosser is easy to use. The packaging is nice and compact and, therefore, doesn't take up too much room on the bathroom shelf. The scent is pleasant and not overly strong--therefore, it will not compete too much with perfume or Cologne. It can be used with other hair products, such as gels, because it is not overly sticky. It does what the packaging claims it will do-- it does add extra shine to hair. I am allergic to some products but this does not seem to irritate the scalp. The extra shine lasts until the product is washed out.

What I do not like about Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock™ leave-on perfecting glosser:

I feel it is over-priced. I believe it would sell better if they dropped the price down to a more reasonable range. Also, It is difficult to judge how much should be used for optimal effects. "Dime-sized amount" is what the packaging recommends; it is just a guideline and more or less can be used, depending on length and quality of hair. The problem is if too much is used, the product weighs down the hair and can make it appear a little greasy. If this is a look someone is going for, then extra Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock™ leave-on perfecting glosser is ideal for that person. It doesn't indicate on the bottle that it is cruelty-free. I have heard that these products are, but am concerned that the bottle does not have the cruelty-free statement. I probably won't buy it again until I find out for sure that it is.

Final comments about Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock™ leave-on perfecting glosser:

In general I really like this product. It is not something I use on a daily base, because it is a bit expensive, but I appreciate the shine it gives to my otherwise dull hair.

Now that's a cut-n-paste name for a product. Great review thank you.
