Bring Me Sunshine, Bring Me Warmth

Julie Wimmer
To the beach, to the beach, to the beach
I wish to go;
For it is too cold this winter time
even without any snow.

Bring me sunshine, bring me warmth
because I crave it so;
The chill is way too much for me
with or without my coat or throw.

To touch sand, to peruse shells, to sit by the water
I want to see that summery glow;
No more dark days or gray skies
where all the wind does is blow.

Puffy clouds highlighted with azure tones
while we stroll without us a shoe;
Cold nips are so far away from our minds
while we enjoy the luminous, picture show.

To the beach, to the beach, to the beach
because I crave it so;
No more dark days or gray skies
while we enjoy the luminous, picture show.
