Bring Spring - a Haiku Bouquet for a Brighter Day

Eagerly Anticipating Great Garden Days to Come

Linda Ann Nickerson

Tugging twigs and thorns,
Digging in my garden beds -
Spring, come to my yard.

Frozen frosting melts;
Gloved fingers ache with cold.
Sun, come warm the earth.

Crunchy turf gives way,
Welcoming the brand-new growth.
Life, begin again.

    We had such a lovely weekend that I spent most of it cleaning up my yard for spring. My crocus are in full bloom, too! Spring has sprung!
