Bring in the New Year!

With the end of 2008 drawing near, we all have to ask ourselves what we're gonna do for New Year's celebration. There are always several different options. Just about every big city has their drop of some sort. This is where tens of thousands crowd into a number of streets to watch something drop at midnight, like Atlanta's Peach Drop. There is always Times Square, where the ball drops in a most extravagent way. Many choose to watch this in the luxury of their own homes instead of the freezing cold. There are many more options sometimes people overlook.

One overlooked option is going to a casino. They always have many people in town for New Year's, and the more people around you makes the party even better! It's a nice way to stay highly intoxicated for a relatively cheap price, free with tips. They usually have some sort of live band around the bar, so it's always a lively atmosphere that the drinks keep coming. In any event, it is a good way to bring in 2009.

It is definitely a good idea to check around your town. There are usually some good local parties for New Years. House parties that have a local band always provide for an entertaining celebration. Sometimes a local bar will be having a big event. Whatever draws the most people on New Years is usually the best atmosphere. Even if it is a little chilly, a local lake fireworks show can be a great way to spend your evening.

The most important thing to remember is what you are celebrating. Living life to the fullest for another year, and making through the last one to see it in it's entirety. New Year's is a time for making resolutions, relaxing, and partying to the fullest that night! Most make sure to prepare for a hangover, and those that don't have to worry just plan to sleep in anyways. January 1, 2009 is a good day to rest, because we have so much to get started after that.
