Levi's sister, Mercede, has been giving Star Magazine exclusive reports about the pair's relationship. Mercede claims Bristol has made it virtually impossible for her brother Levi to see his child. She says Bristol has cut Levi out of their lives completely, and Levi makes attempts to see his son every single day. She claims Bristol refuses to let Tripp visit the Johnston family because they are "white trash." She also refuses to let him watch the baby for a few hours, unless she needs a babysitter for the afternoon.
Mercede has also reported that former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin support's Bristol's treatment toward Levi. Mercede said "I used to love Sarah...But I've lost lots of respect for her." The Palin/Johnston feud began back in January, and Mercede released a very direct statement: "Umm, I'm not allowed to see my nephew and my mom isn't either. We aren't Palins so therefore we are white trash and Bristol doesn't want her baby around us. So mom and I are really upset over it. I just hope Levi pulls his head out of his butt and lets us see our nephew and her grandbaby." Mercede also said Bristol has dropped out of school, and when Bristol found out she was pregnant, she told Levi she wished the baby wasn't his.
Although we haven't heard much from the Johnston family until now, Levi's mother was arrested on drug-related charges shortly after his child was born. A search warrant in an undercover drug investigation led to the arrest of Sherry Johnston, and she was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance. She was charged with second-degree misconduct, which typically means she was either manufacturing or delivering drugs, as well as fourth-degree misconduct, typically a charge associated with posession. The price tag of Tripp's baby photos soared to nearly $300,000 after her arrest.

Post a CommentI just saw on CNN how Levi wasn't Bristol's first time with a guy in "doing it", either. It sounds like she might have a personal issue or two. At any rate, poor little Tripp remains proof that a baby is not always the product of real love - just sex.
Interesting :) Sheri
Nice!!
Another thing, and in response to Heather: It's not like sperm operate by remote control. What makes a good partner in bed and what makes a good dad are two entirely different sets of traits. And sometimes hormones override good sense. And furthermore, how many guys have we seen in the spotlight who think a woman's a good lay but wouldn't make a good wife? John Edwards for instance? (I tend to vote liberal, but still.) Until men get their act together in this regard, they sure don't need us to stick up for them when it gets stuck *to* them the same way they do it to everyone else.
You know, I wouldn't call a girl immature who's smart enough to see that a guy who comes from a drug-using family probably isn't good dad material. Well, OK, maybe she is still immature, but she clearly is not stupid. And yeah, I would say Levi's unfit. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Mercede certainly has a lot to say. I wonder though, why would someone see a man as being acceptable to be a boyfriend but not a husband? It may be the woman who made a bad choice then.
What? Where's the problem? Aren't we men disposable? It sucks to be a throw away Dad because we don't fit the "acceptable" standards.
Levi should definitely go to court to secure visitation rights but the way I see it, both are way to immature to handle a mature relationship and parenting. Bristol's mother Sarah does a lot of work in helping to raise the baby. At least Bristol was honest enough to admit there is nothing glamorous about being a teen parent.
If Levi wants to see his son
Go to court and get visitation Rights
Bristol cannot deny him that right.
Even people in jail can get visitation rights.Unless he is an unfit parent.
