Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston Won't Be Doing a Reality TV Show, but Their Real Life Sure is a Soap Opera

Johnston's Ex-girlfriend Denies Rumors that He is Her Baby Daddy

When Bristol Palin, daughter of former V.P. candidate Sarah, patched things up with baby daddy Levi Johnston, it wasn't exactly a private moment. The newly-reconciled lovebirds announced the news by posing, with their son Tripp, on the cover of US Weekly.

Lots of people started speculating that the cover shot and story were the first rounds of publicity for an upcoming reality show. The rumors of a reality show were easy to believe. Johnston, who posed for Playgirl, and Bristol, who lectured on abstinence , were no shrinking violets, and a show built around their lives seemed like it could become an exquisite guilty pleasure.

Alas, it's not to be, at least according to what a rep for Bristol Palin told US Weekly, who said that several networks pitched the idea of a reality show to Bristol, but that Bristol "has not agreed to participate in any show."

That does seem to leave the door open at least a crack, though. The rep didn't say that Bristol was appalled at the idea, or that Bristol swore she would never do such a thing. She only said that Bristol "has not agreed," and that could mean that she has not agreed yet.

In the meantime, Bristol and Johnston's real life is wilder than a soap opera. In the latest installment, The National Enquirer printed a story saying that Johnston's ex-girlfriend, who he started seeing again during the time he was estranged from Bristol, was pregnant and about to give birth. The Enquirer claims that she thinks Johnston could be the father, which would make Johnston a baby-and-baby daddy.

The ex-girlfriend, though, vehemently denied that Johnston was her baby daddy, in an interview she gave US Weekly, which appears to becoming something like the official paper of record on the Palin-Johnston family drama.

And so life goes on for America's most famous unwed couple.

My bet? That reality show will get made after all, and will become one of the most popular shows that no will admit they watch.
