Bristol Palin is Not a Diva Says DWTS Partner Mark Ballas

Is Bristol Palin a diva? Her Dancing with the Stars partner Mark Ballas, on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, says "not at all," as reported at The Deadbolt. The 19-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin agrees with Ballas, claiming, "The only thing I've ever asked for is a Velcro mic pac so I don't have to wear it on my belt loop. That's the only thing I've ever asked for."

According to Bill Zwecker, of Chicago Sun-Times, Bristol Palin has diva behavior with regard to the outfits

According to Sun-Times columnist Bill Swecker, Bristol Palin is complaining about a number of things, including the outfits. Bristol Palin went public to say that her outfits on Dancing with the Stars will be the most modest. Says one of Swecker's sources, "She is so clueless. I've learned she never had watched the show before now, so she didn't realize the sexy dance outfits are all part of it, especially if you have a relatively decent figure and are young."

If Bristol Palin is a diva, and Mark Ballas is just being nice, should she drop the Kate Gosselin like behavior?

Kate Gosselin, who is alleged to have displayed diva-like behavior on a recent camping trip with Sarah Palin, got on Dancing with the Stars but never shined. Immediately, allegations of diva-like behavior began to surface. Us Weekly declared that Kate was a "train wreck," rude to her DWTS partner Tony Dovolani, standoffish with her DWTS cast and crew, and insisting on a body guard, which is not the norm for celebrities on DWTS.

The new season of Dancing with the Stars does not air until September 20, but already Bristol Palin is said to be a diva. Palin, who has admitted that she has no rhythm and is uncoordinated, has got her work cut out for her. Do celebrities want the public to watch them on Dancing with the Stars because they are good dancers or because they're train wrecks who provide plenty of fodder for jokes? One would imagine that what happened to Kate Gosselin is not something Bristol Palin hopes for. Sarah Palin, of course, will defend her daughter, but not everyone respects what Sarah Palin has to say.

A recent photo shows Bristol Palin, in a pose with Mark Ballas, wearing a black, fringing, provocative dance outfit that one would not consider terribly modest. Dropping the Kate Gosselin behavior, if it indeed exists, would be a good thing, and perhaps Bristol Palin has already started to do that.
