Bristol Palin's DWTS 2010 Debut [VIDEO]

Bristol Palin's DWTS 2010 debut video shows her inaugural performance as a DWTS contestant. Bristol Palin, daughter of conservative political pundit Sarah Palin, is one of the most high-profile contestants on this year's season. Of course, similar to "Kate Gosselin", some say that the former first daughter of Alaska isn't really a "star."

However, similar to her mother she's made her own fame. Pregnant at 17, she was thrust into the mainstream media amid her mother's bid for VP during the 2008 presidential elections. She was the "teen mom" the "taboo" that many thought would be her mother's "double standard." However, she and her baby daddy were never forced to marry and she's raising her son as a single mother.

Then, there's the Levi Johnston relationships. The couple is in and out of glossy magazines. First they're dating, then they're not. Then they're engaged, but then they break up. Now, he's banned from the DWTS audience.

Bristol Palin earned a 18/30 for her first performance. It starts kind of cheesy. She's dressed up ultra conservatively, and then rips off her clothes to reveal her dancing dress. She's far from the "Kate Gosselin" of the crew in terms of being conservative. I tend to like Bristol's look far better, and I think she will make it much farther in the competition than did the famed mother of 8.
