The rooms are best described as being very spacious, cozy, and extremely clean. Each room is furnished only with the necessary furniture like bed, night stands, and coffee table. There are no TVs, air conditioning, or desks to work at in this cottage. You are meant to relax and unwind from the hectic world. Your room never gets hot, as the cottage is surrounded by large lush palm trees and plants. The room also has ceiling fans that are meant to bring in the fresh air from outdoors.
Neptune's Restaurant is described as the best seafood around. Fresh from the catch earlier that day, all meals are made to order using the freshest of ingredients. Guests who have stayed at this Inn described the menu as being 'the best seafood in all the world'. Food on the island is not expensive either. All of the food that's used to prepare meal are usually grown or caught on the island.
As far as trying to reach the island, you do have to take a ferry that runs from Roadtown Tortola on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, at 7:30am. An hour later with just one stop along the way you'll arrive at the island. The only other form of transportation is by a small charter plane. The ferry is much more beautiful as you see the beauty of the sunrise. The return from the island is about the same except you'll leave the island at 4:30pm.
The island is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. There are no main activities on the island except anything that you'll create for yourself. Provided in all guest rooms are a variety of books for you to read while you relax in your hammock on your porch. Other activities you can engage in are walking the beach, snorkeling, or swimming. You can choose to do this or simply just lay on the beach. The people on the island are extremely friendly and make you feel like family. In case you want to meet new folks, head off to the restaurants bar where you're sure to find people from the island.
Being on a beach front Inn, feel free to wear no shoes during your whole trip. After being on this secluded island for a week you won't want to leave it. Being this secluded from the real world you become one with nature and your thoughts. The warm weather, turquoise blue water, and beach that sits right in front you will keep you coming back for more. Next time your dreaming of a place that seems like a dream, try searching the British Virgin Islands, Neptune's Inn, for a reality check that's within distance.
