Britney Spears Announces Her New Tour on 'Good Morning America'

In a spectacular fashion, Britney Spears brought the circus to ABC's breakfast show "Good Morning America." Performing live from the Big Apple Circus tent in Manhattan, Britney Spears sang two songs from her new album "Circus" and announced her upcoming tour of North America. Celebrating her 27th birthday with style, Britney Spears dazzled the Good Morning America audience with performances of "Circus" and "Womanizer" alongside performers dressed as animals, jugglers and clowns. Viewers of Good Morning America were able to see that Britney Spears seems to have shed her recent troubles and is back to her old self.

Rebounding from her public breakdown that included drugs, rehab, divorce, losing custody of her sons and shaving her head, Britney Spears seems to be focusing on the future and not the past. With her father now managing her affairs and her two sons back in her custody Britney Spears appears to be on the right track once again. Several recent high profile appearances including the television series "How I met your Mother" and today's spectacular performance on Good Morning America have brought Britney Spears back into the limelight. With the announcement on Good Morning America of her 26 city North American tour and the song "Womanizer" topping the top 100, Briney Spears does truly appear to be back on top of things.

In addition to her triumphant performance on Good Morning America this morning, Britney Spears was also mentioned on the Mike and Juliet breakfast show. During a piece on the top internet searches of 2008, Britney Spears was the top searched person for the 7th year running.
