Britney Spears Attorney's Quit -- Legal Paperwork Filed

How Low Will Brit Brit Go?

Patty Oh
It's been said that people have to hit rock bottom before they'll change. How much lower will Britney Spears be forced to go before she realizes that she's at rock bottom?

In the latest turn of events, even her lawyers don't want to work with for her anymore. It's been reported that Britney Spears lawyers, Trope and Trope, who specialize in divorce law, have filed legal papers so that they can legally be removed as her attorneys.

Why did they do this? Did Britney owe them money she wasn't paying? Here's what the attorney's said in their statement filed with the courts, "There has been a breakdown in communications between Petitioner and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interest impossible."

Impossible? WOW! Brit Brit must be hitting a new level of rock bottom!

Britney's attorneys' had lots on their plate when they threw in the towel. According to legal documents filed by attorney Tara K. Scott, Trope and Trope had planned to conduct depositions on Ashley Chapman, Christina Cindrish, Oscar Anthony Barretto, Lonni Jones, and Adam Leber. While you might think that these would take place over a few months, all of these depositions were slated for January 2008.

Ms. Tara K. Scott has obviously followed a different drummer from that of Britney Spears. Scott joined Trope and Trope in August 2001 after graduating from Pepperdine School of Law in the same year. Back in 2001, Brit Brit was still having fun.

According to Wikipedia, in 2001, Spears music video, "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" (ever so appropriately named) was release to MTV.

While Scott was pursuing her career, back in 2003 Spears was kissing the likes of Madonna on stage in the presence of a TV audience.

This isn't the first attorney to tell Brit Brit to take-a-hike. This is the third law firm that's given Britney the heave-ho since September.

What would any normal person do if their attorney kept firing them??? Do you think they would take a look at themselves - or would they blame it all on everyone else? When, dear Brit Brit, will you ever get the HINT!!!

Britney was the winner of a 2003 Golden Raspberry (RAZZIE) Award, an award that honors the Worst Achievements in Film. What was that film, anyway? Ever heard of CROSSROADS? I didn't think so. I hadn't either.

I bet Brit Brit wishes she hadn't ever heard of someone named Federline, either. Maybe they should come up with a RAZZIE award for the worst life-achievements by anyone in the industry - I suspect Brit Brit would win, hands down.

Great report and insight Patty - I have missed the latest happenings other than some headline. Nope, not normal.

Great article! Did you hear the latest? (There's something new every moment it seems) I saw on the news earlier that she had a drunken or drugged (they didn't know at the time) stand-off with the police over not wanting to give the kids up after her visit. Now she's lost visitation rights. I pity those poor children. Very sad. :(

It can be quite a challenge for an attorney to represent a mentally impaired client.
