The VMA's Ceremony to Be the Platform for a "Shocker"

Everyone has heard about the recent problems Britney Spears has been having, from her divorce to Kevin Federline to social services investigating her parental skills. She even shaved her head and did a stint in rehab. It still seems like the world can't get enough Britney news however and the pop sensation is poised for a comeback. Fans of Spears have a current reason to be more excited than ever. In the midst of all this drama and after a two year break from performing, Britney is planning a "shocking" comeback performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas on the 9th of September. Earlier in the month it was stated by sources that the show could neither confirm or deny an appearance by Spears, but as time moves on, it looks like she is going to go for it. It seems as if Britney is going to open the annual awards show.

Recent mini comeback secret shows by Britney have been criticized in the past for her apparent lip syncing but the fans still seemed to enjoy the pop stars' performance as much as they ever did. Britney will most likely be performing a new song, according to rumors, but at this point anything is still possible. While fans would certainly enjoy some old Brit tunes, the new music she has been working on would also be equally interesting. There has also been a recent song leak of a possible new Britney Spears single, but it is a mystery whether or not the singer in the song is actually Ms. Spears herself.

Rumors have abounded about her possibly performing with Justin Timberlake, but other sources say this is false. What could be better than seeing the two lost loves who happen to also be two of pop music's star performers on stage together? Guess the public will just have to wait and see, but Britney promises that the show is going to knock the socks off of fans around the world.

Sources say an idea was declined that had Britney performing her hit "My Perogative" with images of Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline displayed in the background of the stage. Let's hope the shocker is better than this! Other confirmed performances at the September VMA show include Fall Out Boy, Kanye West, Chris Brown and the Foo Fighters. Tune in for what is sure to be an exciting night in music.
