Britney Spears Bipolar Disorder?

Bipolar Britney?

Robin Neorr
Recent tabloid reports state that doctors are speculating that Britney Spears is Bipolar. Is it true, well there are no real tests to determine whether or not someone is truly Bipolar. In fact Bipolar Disorder is often misdiagnosed. True Bipolar Disorder is defined as, "A psychiatric disorder marked by alternating episodes of mania and depression. Also called bipolar illness, manic-depressive illness."

I can look at recent events in her life and see where the manic phase might occur. I guess if you were an outside observer her Thursday night standoff with the police might be a manic episode, but honestly, I am not convinced it is. Yes you might also say that the whole crazy head shaving episode was also sparked by a manic episode, or maybe it was just too much drugs. I am honestly not convinced that she is suffering from anything more then a run of the mill mental breakdown from stress and lack of sleep. For someone who makes so much of her life so public I haven't seen any evidence of her suffering from depression.

I mean come on the girl can not even go to the bathroom without getting the paparazzi up in her face. You would be at your wits end too if the flashbulbs were going off every five seconds in your face. Then again several celebrities do manage to go about there daily lives without being in the public eye all the time. Have you seen pictures of Posh Spice going into the gas station restroom recently? I haven't.

I had such hope for Britney, we all did. Unfortunately the more time goes by the more she is turning into another Anna Nicole? Straight down to what she is wearing in the "Piece of Me" video when she was doing her little dance with her girls in a public bathroom. You know what Britney isn't Bipolar she has a bathroom stall obsession.

Honestly though I do wish the girl the best. I would say that the media has been too harsh on her, but come on she invites it. She seriously needs to take some down time, go to another one of those spa like rehab places and stay there for a few months, then come back. It worked for Lindsay...wait that is a whole different story.
