Britney Spears Circus Tour Kicks Off in New Orleans

I was lucky enough to get advance tickets to Britney's concert in December. I am so glad that I did. Britney decided to kick off her Circus Tour in her home state of Louisiana. The concert was unbelievable. Britney delivered. She performed all of her hit songs, as well as some new songs.

Britney's concert was broken into four difference sets or themes. Each section consisted of 4-5 songs. Britney was on stage for about an hour and a half.

Her energy was electric. The crowd was so proud of our girl. Britney started the concert by descending from the ceiling singing Circus. Pieces of Me was the next song. For this song, Britney climbed in a cage and dances, while being moved around the stage.

During her second set, Britney was joined on the stage with a magician. He sawed her in half during the song House of Fun. During this same song, Britney, while still singing, climbed into a cage. The magician covered the cage with a purple sheet. Within second Britney appeared on one of the outer stages, singing and dancing.

My favorite song she did was Everytime. A giant umbrella was suspended in the air above the stage. Britney was sitting on the handle of the umbrella while singing. She performed all of the songs wonderfully, but this one by far was excellent.

The next part was named "Freak Show". This set was all songs that I did not recognize, presumably her new songs. Even though I did not know any of these songs, it was entertaining.

For the next part of her show she sang Do Something, the Slave, followed by Toxic. Next she sang her mega-hit, Hit Me Baby One More Time. She then left the stage.

The crowd started chanting Britney! Britney ! Within 5 minutes of the crowd beginning to chant, a montage of all of Britney's videos were shows. The montage was really awesome. Parts from all of her videos merged together, with the music from Break the Ice playing.

She returned to the stage dressed as a police officer, singing Womanizer. Once this song was over, confetti was shot out from all sections of the arena. Britney thanked the crowd, said how she loved New Orleans, waved, did a cute little circle dance with the dancers and exited the stage .

This was such a great performance. She did not look nervous at all. She completed looked relaxed and in the zone. She delivered. Britney is back !!
