Britney Spears' Custody Battle Gets Her in a Hospital

Britney Spears did it again stated an article on Yahoo! News on Thursday!

Apparently under the influence of an unknown substance Britney Spears was taken away in an ambulance from her home after a nearly three-hour custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their two young sons.

Officers were called to Britney's house around 8 p.m. to put an end to the dispute over their sons, 2-year old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department told City News. Spears' finally turned over the children around 10:50 p.m. and by that time six police cars, two ambulances, and a fire truck had entered the gated-community to arrive at Spears' house. Office Lee declined to elaborate on his statement in which he said that Britney appeared to be intoxicated or under the influence of an unknown substance, there were no injuries reported after this incident.

Spears was conscious when taken out of her house in a gurney, and several police cars escorted the ambulance from the neighborhood, while of course the paparazzi were anxiously right behind them.

Britney was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Entertainment Tonight reported. However a spokeswoman for Cedars, Simi Singer said she could neither confirm nor deny based on patient confidentiality regulations.

Calls have been made to the Police Department's media line since early Friday, but they have not been answered or returned.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married in October 2004 and divorced in July. Federline has temporary custody of their two boys because Spears has defied court orders; she now only has limited visitation rights.

Spears has been on a roll for a while now. She is apparently grown out of control and has been photographed not wearing any underwear in public, has shaved her head bald, and has beat a car with an umbrella. She has also spent a month in rehab, has had her share of fender benders, including one in which she drove over a photographer's foot. She has also appeared in various locations drunk and acting wild.

Early on Thursday morning Britney appeared for a deposition in her custody fight against Federline. She was there for 14 minutes only though, Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told reporters. Kaplan also said that Spears' attorneys made a very abbreviated appearance at the session which had been scheduled to last approximately two hours. "You can imagine in 14 minutes there's not a lot of time to develop questions," Mark Kaplan said, there will definitely be another deposition scheduled he added.
