Britney Spears' Ex-Husband Trying to Cash in on Kids and Britney's Rehab Stay

Ok admit it - our views on Britney Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has changed. But maybe we jumped to soon at the thought that Kevin Federline was actually a good, caring man.

According to reports, Kevin is pitching a new reality show to possible producers. The show would be about how he came to the 'rescue' of his two children while his ex-wife admitted herself into rehab for undisclosed reasons.

In his show, he hopes to come across as a hero.

Sorry Kevin - you are now coming across as a desperate man trying to exploit his children as well as the problems of your ex-wife in order to make a quick buck!

Ever since Britney Spears decided to shave her head and enter rehab, the media has started offering apologizes to the former Mr. Spears. Why? Because instead of being the low-life bum that we always thought of him to be, Kevin Federline actually stepped up and took control of the situation.

First, he gave Britney Spears a ultimatum - either she enters rehab for the third time (and stay!) or he would seek full custody of their two children. He even went as far as requesting an emergency hearing regarding the custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Of course, that was all it took for Britney - she entered rehab that night and has stayed ever since. (note: Kevin canceled the hearing just a few hours before it was scheduled to begin)

Then the next thing that Kevin did that shocked us all was that he took in his children. For him, that was a huge deal. Especially considering that he left his former girlfriend and children to marry Britney Spears.

And of course, we cannot forget that he was seen several times visiting Britney Spears in rehab - even bringing the children along so they could see their mom.

The National Enquirer spoke with a source close to both Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. The source had this to say:

"Kevin is ready for his second 15 minutes of fame. This time he wants to focus the cameras on his personal life as he assumes responsibility for his two sons. And he's not wasting any time getting the spotlight back on himself while Britney is occupied taking care of her substance abuse problems."

If he does sign a deal for the reality show, there is no doubt that he will lose any respect that he might have gained through the recent events with Britney.
