Britney Spears Femme Fatale Album Tops Australian Music Charts

It is no surprise that Britney Spears topped the Australian Record Industry Association charts this week for her 7th album - Femme Fatale. The pop star enjoys huge popularity in Australia and her legion of fans have obviously snapped up her latest music offering.

Spears has previously had five number one singles in the Australian music charts, but has never had a number 1 album. Her first two albums Baby One More Time (1999) and Oops...I Did It Again (2000) peaked at number two, while 2008's comeback record Circus achieved third spot.

Britney is putting the finishing touches on her next world tour and fans everywhere will loyally fill seats at major stadiums to honor their princess. It seems the lip-synch-ing presentations are irrelevant when it comes to Britney's concert performances. Her fans will flock to see her whether she sings live or not. She has maintained her fan base world-wide for many years and her popularity has never waned.

Britney's settled life

For a girl who went through a period of erratic behavior several years ago, Britney certainly has turned her life around. Not only did she have a very successful Circus world tour in late 2009, but she seems to be very settled in her life right now. She's been in a relationship with Jason Trewick for 2 years and is reportedly happy being a homebody when she is not caught up with work commitments.

Britney and Jason apparently spend a lot of time at home watching movies, working out and going for walks. She has indicated her life is now normal and grounded. Brit also has her parental duties to sons Sean Preston (5) and Jayden James (4) born during her marriage to Kevin Federline. Despite two failed marriages - a short lived one to Jason Alexander, annulled in 2004, and a divorce from Kevin in 2008, Britney has told friends that she would like to give marriage another go. She is happy with Jason, her Agent, and longs to "do it the right way" next time. She also hinted she would like more children.
It seems Britney's troubled past is well and truly behind her and the future looks rosy. It is possible that unhappiness drove her to act the way she did a few years ago. She must be a strong person mentally and physically to have put the past behind her and made the highly successful come-back she displayed in 2009.

There's no doubt Britney's next world tour will be a huge success - well deserved for the hard-working star.
